No you were not alone. I was on my way to Ascott under Wychwood and arrived at the bottom of Nine Acre but luckily spotted the chaos and the backed up traffic so went via Chadlington instead. There was a similar incident on Pound Hill recently. Good job no emergency vehicles needed to get through. Trouble is that householders have little control over their building contractors and even less over those contractors' suppliers.

Am I the only person who was affected by the 20 minute unofficial road closure of Dyers Hill yesterday? At 8am, due to a lorry being unloaded of paving slabs en mass. A builder on the scene told everyone the road was closed whilst this 20 minute operation was undertaken. Surely this delivery could and should have been made after the 9am rush.
