Bird flocks in morning

Thank you Robin, John Smith says that they are Jackdaws and in the summer the tree is full of finches.

Are they large birds, high up in the trees? Sometimes jackdaws gather together from their various roosts first thing in the morning, and then go off out into the fields in a large flock, to look for food.
