Couldan you lend me a computer mic?

I need to record myself on my computer reading a chapter from a book, at short notice for a friend's 60th birthday. Does anyone have a mic they'd be happy to lend me that I could plug into my laptop to do this? The internal mic picks up the sound of the computer as well as my voice, so the quality is poor.
