There is a guy in Wootton Rob Wagstaff who has an industrial machine and fixes tents.

Thanks Christine, yes I do running repairs myself with a tent repair kit but the damage now means a replacement zip will be necessary. There are tent repair services all over the country but I don't want to drive to Yorkshire or Surrey and was hoping there might be someone in this region. Thanks for the nod about CIT Camping though !

Go Outdoors sells Tent Repair stuff. There a store in Oxford. This won't fix the zip issue, however. For that you will need a specialist, such as CIT Camping in Surrey, & so it might be better to ask them to quote for all the repairs.

Try an old fashioned cobbler, as they may have the thread and machine to repair it,otherwise an awning maker (ie caravans). Just a thought

Is there a tent repair service in the area ? I have two tents that after some less than careful use by visitors now have a broken zip, a torn inner tent and hole in ground sheet. Both were expensive and deserve more life and someone who knows what they are doing could ensure they are usable another few seasons.
