Hello, an hour or so ago I was forwarded this email.

“The authorities are expecting waters to rise in the next 6 - 8 hours. Anyone
willing to offer temporary accommodation to people in the region affected by
the flooding can ring WODC on direct line 01993 861247 and speak to Etana. I
believe that they can provide bedding etc.

Please forward this to others who may be able to help or know someone who
can.”

I have spoken to Etana who has confirmed that they are trying to organise shelter for displaced people and those who may become displaced if conditions further deteriorate. She has asked me to forward this request for help to as many people as I can, hence this post. She has asked me to stress that they are currently trying to arrange accommodation in the event that it may be needed, not that it is definitely required right now, I think it largely depends on what happens in the next few hours. She also asked me to stress that if you do phone to offer accommodation please be patient and stay on the line they are very very busy.

Thanks,
Emma
