Missing wood pegs

For the improvement of the Mill Field circular path the Cotswold wardens bought some wooden pegs along with other woodwork
I put these by the bags of chippings on the triangle at the bottom of Pound Hill on Tuesday but they have now gone missing
Wonder if anyone knows anything about this
