There will be two new bus routes to and from Woodstock and Oxford Parkway, also going on to Oxford George Street/Botley Rd Station. Both run via Summertown.

The Oxford Bus Company version involves an extension of the 500 park & ride bus route. It starts today & the timetable is here: assets.goaheadbus.com/media/cms_page_media/2016/11/24/P&R500_Timetable_December2016-WEB.pdf

To compete, Stagecoach is offering a new route, no 7, which will run via the Oxford Motor Park, starting January 3rd. The timetable is here: tis-kml-stagecoach.s3.amazonaws.com/PdfTimetables/XOAO007.pdf

Stagecoach has said that it will keep the exact route of the no 7 under review since they are concerned not to lose passengers between Oxford and Woodstock. If they do so, frequency on the S3 routes to Charlbury and Chipping Norton will be under threat. Stagecoach are also lowering their prices between Woodstock and Oxford to compete with the fares offered by the Oxford Bus Company.

Because of the new route, there is a slightly adjusted S3 timetable from January 3rd. You can find it here: tiscon-maps-stagecoachbus.s3.amazonaws.com/Timetables/Oxford_Timetables/S3_3_Jan_2017.pdf

Stagecoach summarises the changes here: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/service-updates/serviceupdatesarticle?SituationId=ID-09/12/2016-15:04:22:448

On the one hand, this is really good news for those wanting to use Oxford Parkway Station & unable to transport heavy luggage to Charlbury Station now that we have lost the C1 bus. On the other hand, the thought that Stagecoach might decide to reduce the S3 services to Charlbury is alarming. Please use the bus when it makes sense to do so!
