I am shocked to have received a message in my 'inbox' - several days old I may say - requesting I remove this post, since it could result in those locals recruited as extras loosing their jobs!!! If that doesn't say it all about the attitude of these film companies!!

I confess my ignorance, but I do know for certain that a new Bridget Jones film is being shot in Hook Norton. Perhaps the scope is spreading to our town?

There are both signs around the town,LOC is for location. LON is possible an abbreviation for the film title. Jungle drums say that a Bridget Jones film is being shot.By the way Deborah Charlbury is a town don't you know. John H

Yes, major cinema release film currently in production and some sequences are being shot locally. LON is an abbreviation of the film's codename. It's all rather secret.

Curiosity peaked after seeing several signs with LON on around the village - do we have another film crew in our midst? Anyone know?
