It's okay John. Obviously we didn't use a real baby. We formed one out of 12 flattened empty cans of Stella, a spare nappy and a torn magazine cover of Ed Sheeran's face

Wasn't it a bit over the top having to bribe security with an overheated baby.....I wouldn't have thought security would have accepted a baby as a bribe!
don't you now miss the baby/what did security then do with the baby?

The festival started later and finished earlier this year

The festival seemed longer than last year. Did anyone have a problem with the parking in Park Street? I had to reverse so a 4 x 4 could keep going on the wrong side of the road. Usually there is no parking at the narrow part so the buses can get along.

Yes - at 12.32pm on Saturday the 8th of August they finally saw sense, relented and allowed our group a gazebo in. I did, however, have to take an overheated baby up to the gate to bribe security into doing so. Banning gazebos or anything else that creates some shade in the Family Camping area on one of the hottest weekends of the year is just inhumane. And as for the rule on not allowing orphaned chipmunks onto the site...

There are also plenty of gazebos in family camping now so they must of relaxed the rules.
It all comes down to space at the end of the day.

You might not like this, but on our walk back from Finstock we could see loads of gazebos in the general camping area and have taken some photos as proof!

Unfortunately it does state on the T's & C's page on the website under Section H - Camping, point #4 that gazebos are not allowed on the campsite :(

Surely a gazebo is just a tent which is waiting for the side panels to be fitted?

Have been told at the Family camping gate that no gazebos are allowed. This is gazebist!
There is nothing on the website to say we can't bring these in? Not only does it spoil the communal side of family camping in groups it also means there is no shade for children and babies who are camping and forced to stay in a sweltering tent.
If you care for your children and love your gazebo please phone the complaints line. Together we can make this happen.
