Just a reminder about the Walk this Sunday We start at the Old Oak tree at the top of Forest hill at 10.00 We then follow the boundary through Cornbury Park to the Bridge and then along the bank of the Evenlode until we turn under the railway bridge then up to Fawler road by the layby This section is NOT a public right of way and we walk with Kind permission of Lord Rotherwick We then turn up to Stonesfield lane and across up to Bevis Farm to Woodstock Road Here we go down the road to the Saltway and then turn towards Ditchley. We stop for lunch at Model Farm We then go on along the boundary crossing Enstone Road and down to Spelbury. Once more this section is largely NOT on public rights of way. from Spelsbury we return to Charlbury via Coldron Mill The total distance is about 12 miles and we would aim to finish about 4.00pm You may join and leave the walk at the points where we cross main roads. Dogs may be brought but must be on a lead at all times. Children must be with adults. This year the ground is still quite dry and walking should not be difficult but stout footwear is recommended. Walk Leaders Harriet Baldwin and Tony Merry Help with lifts to the start and at places on route would be very much appreciated. Please contact me.
