There is so much tabloid coverage of Tracey Emin and it is perhaps all too easy to be distracted by sensationalist coverage of works such as the tent or the unmade bed. We may feel that what she does is not art at all or at least does not resemble art that we like or feel that we 'get'. Regardless of strong reactions to her confessional and often explicit work, this artist is highly regarded and exhibited worldwide and her work follows in a tradition of art that is rooted in autobiography.
You may have strong views on her yourself.
