Please give enough space to cyclists

Someone was complaining in another thread recently about cyclists going the wrong way up Market St. I agree that's wrong and we should all stick to the rules.

In that spirit, can car drivers please remember the rule to give cyclists (and any vulnerable road user) the same space as you would allow for a car. I frequently get cars and delivery vans trying to overtake me on Park Street and this morning I was cut up (and brought to a halt) by a large car overtaking me on Hixet Wood when there was a car parked on the opposite side. I know it can be tedious to wait for us slower road users to get up the hill but give us a break and let us get to our destination safely too.
