There's a lot of information on Charlbury clockmakers & also Trade Directories in the Museum. It's now closed for winter, but the curator, Celia Faulkner, is always helpful & she can arrange for you to visit it for research if you are near enough to call in.

In any case you can email her via this site. If you search for her name on the home page, you can then click on her name in one of her contributions to the forum in order to send her an email. Of course she may have already replied to you!

I feel intimidated on reading the rules but, as I am far away you cannot put me in the stocks! So here I venture: Does anyone please have any info. on H. Benfield Clock & Watchmaker? When might (he) have worked in Charlbury?
