Hi im a carpenter and live in charlbury, If its just a repair of rotting window ,A quote should be pretty simple and could be turned around quite quick,Even if its a replacement it should only take a few days to get a quote together. Nigel works for Alfred Groves and had casement windows made for me, very well done indeed. His carpenter recommendation was Andrew Faulkner 07940 837682. I have not used Andrew.

The general problem is that there is a construction boom in London. Many carpenters, plumbers, electricians etc choose to work there instead as the pay is much better.

Can anyone recommend someone who might be able to repair a rotting window frame? We've had one firm come to look at it but, after three weeks they haven't provided an estimate. Is it usual for estimates to take that long to arrive?
