I can confirm about the OVCA. When my mum died, they came and took everything away - unlike some other charities which would not take chairs and sofas etc unless they had the fire resistant sign on them. But it takes ages to get through to them, and for a complete house clear (for info) you may have to wait 6 weeks for them to come and collect - but it doesnt cost a penny.

Then try OVCA Furniture Project, The Old Community Centre, Westlands Drive, Oxford OX3 9QY. 01865 763698 9.30 - 12.30. They will collect. http://www.westoxon.gov.uk/environment/furniturereuse.cfm

Try Sue Ryder charity shop in Chipping Norton for furniture, not sure about electrical stuff.

We have a sofa and some chairs that are in good condition and wondered if anyone knew of a charity that would like to come and get them? We also have a fridge freezer in good condition.
