Mon 21 Oct 2013, 10:18 Customer forum The website also says that the Post Office will host a "customer forum" on the proposed relocation of Witney Post Office at The Blue Boar, 28 Market Square, Witney, OX28 6BH, on Saturday 26 October, running from 09:30-13:00.

Sun 20 Oct 2013, 17:30 There's a consultation (until Nov. 25th) on the proposal to move the Crown Post Office in Witney into the premises of W.H. Smith's. Leaflets are available in the Post Office, or details of the (amazingly expanded!) facilities are also available on the WODC website (www.westoxon.gov.uk › Further Information). How all this is possible in the extremely cramped space of WHS is beyond me. However, if you would like to comment you can fill in a survey at postofficeviews.co.uk, or email the Post Office at comments@postoffice.co.uk or write in by Freepost, quoting the branch code 006137. It's worth noting that similar moves in other towns have on occasions made the particular branch of WHS nonviable (because of the loss of retail space). And, of course, if a branch of WHS including a Post Office is put up for sale, the Post Office then has to look for a yet another new home (perhaps out of the centre of town). |
