Dead tortoiseshell cat

I spotted a dead tortoiseshell cat in the gutter on Woodstock Road this morning (about 20 yds up the hill from the Stonesfield Lane junction, on the right hand side). I pulled it up onto the verge so it would not be run over: it still had rigor mortis, so had presumably died fairly recently. If this is your beloved pet, or you know whose it is, you or they may wish to recover it and give it a decent burial.
