Sun 17 Mar 2013, 19:29 The aim of Walkers Are Welcome is to attract new visitors to towns and villages to use their facilities - shops, pubs, hotels, B&Bs and restaurants - and contribute to a general increase in local business activity. This can be all year round, and also when a local walking festival is organised. Reviewing the accommodation in Charlbury, the WAWC committee felt that there is a distinct shortage of lower cost accommodation. We wonder whether there are households in Charlbury that would consider renting a room out in their own home or offering more formal B&B? There are also options such as www.airbnb.co.uk which offers an organised way of marketing your rooms. |
