University Application

My son, who had applied went through clearing in August. But that was back in 2000. However I do know that you need to apply before 30 June before you go into Clearing, which not many universities do now. Universities will be notifying UCAS at end of February their decisions on those applications which were received before the deadline. So my advice is to apply now, and he will go into the pile of those to review before Clearing. Obviously sooner rather than later. Does anyone have exeperience of applying late to University
My son, who was going to take a gap year, is thinking of applying now (before end of June cut off) for entry in september 2013
