Mon 14 Jan 2013, 12:41 This was a USAF KC-10 together with Four Swedish JAS-39 Gripen Fighters. They were enroute to Lajes in the Azores prior to heading West to Nellis AFB in Nevada to Participate in the Red Flag exercise. They had all diverted in to Mildenhall Air Base in Suffolk due to a problem with one of the aircraft. A further KC-10 and four more Gripens are due to depart Tuesday morning on the same route so lets hope for clear skies! |

Sun 13 Jan 2013, 17:57 Far too high to be Paris bound for onward flight to Mali, Russell. Maybe Putin and his ill-gotten booty heading for a new life in South America or the Land of Opportunity. |

Sun 13 Jan 2013, 10:51 Did anyone notice the spectacular sight of a high altitude 'arrowhead'formation of five aircraft flying over Charlbury just after 10.30 this morning? A large twin engined plane leading, with four fighter/bombers escorting, flying fast in a southwesterly direction and leaving six vapour trails in the clear blue sky.
