Sat 1 Sep 2012, 17:13 Font cafe is now due to open in November, but you'll have to keep an eye out for updates because it's reliant on the builders, and sometimes builders take longer to finish than planned .... In the meantime, I wonder if the Baptist church have plans to continue their wonderful story times they ran on Wednesday mornings in August. That would be another lovely chance for toddlers to meet up. Send Helen an e-mail on charlburybaptistchurch@gmail.com to ask about the possibility of its continuation. |

Thu 30 Aug 2012, 20:38 Hi again, as we're about to start the new school year does anyone know if the Toddler Group and unofficial gathering at the Font Cafe will both start up again soon? Thanks. |

Fri 20 Jul 2012, 10:48 Hi Vicky, The toddler group has now finished for the summer holidays, but will hopefully start again in September assuming a replacement person is found to run it - George is finishing his run of duty. Looking forward to seeing you about in Charlbury, |

Thu 19 Jul 2012, 05:21 Hi there, I'm about to move to Charlbury from Australia (we're Brits, moving back home). I have a 5 year old son who'll hopefully get a place at Charlbury Primary but I also have a 13 month old daughter who'd like to get out and socialise. The toddler group on Mondays and unofficial group at the church on Thursdays (if it's been reinstated?) sound ideal. I assume this thread is from 2012 and the information is still correct? Thanks in advance, Vicky. |

Mon 13 Feb 2012, 11:14 Just wanted to reiterate that this suggestion about Font Cafe on Thursday is probably not going to happen since the fire has temporarily closed the church. |

Fri 10 Feb 2012, 22:35 Maybe see you at the church on Thursday, then, since the cafe and its play-room will run over half-term as usual. |

Thu 9 Feb 2012, 20:43 yes, come along on a Monday for sure - I work on a Thursday so don't make it to St Mary's but the Monday Group is great. Your little boy can play with mine (18mths) and have a grand old time. Next week is half term though so next session is Monday the 20th Feb. |

Wed 8 Feb 2012, 09:28 Hello, Georgie. Welcome to Charlbury! There seems to be a sort of unofficial toddler group forming at St Mary's parish church on Thursday mornings because of the Font Cafe they run there. It's open 9:30 to 11:30, even during half-term. Cakes and coffee, etc. It isn't only mums with toddlers who go, but the children can play in the Sunday school room while customers without children sit at the tables in the main part of the church. There's no law, though, that says you can't sit in the main church, too. The toys, however, are in the Sunday Club room! |

Tue 7 Feb 2012, 20:18 The ACE centre in Chipping Norton has activities / stay & play most mornings and soft play on Wednesday afternoons which my 16 month twins love. Their website doesn't seem to show the correct timetable so probably best to call them for more information. tel 644 440 |
