Bosch Dishwashers safety recall

Just a quick 'add on', make sure that it is all working correctly before they leave, as ours wasn't and it took another 2 weeks before they could come out and fix it!

I found out by accident that there is a safety recall on Bosch dishwashers manufactured between 1999 and 2005. I hadn't heard about this which was announced earlier this year. There is some evidence that not every owner has been notified (we weren't and ironically neither was the guy who came to do the free fix.) The website to check it out, which only takes a few seconds, is www.bosch-home.com/us/recall.html. The danger if not done is that the thing can catch fire. Good guy came and did the fix in less than 30 minutes. No charge.
