Mon 19 Sep 2011, 20:47 An 80 year old steam engine accelerates a rake of 10 full coaches out of the station at a faster rate than an HS125! That is impressive. I wonder how much time commuters would save on the London run if we upgraded to Castle Class locomotives over the entire Cotswold line service? |

Mon 5 Sep 2011, 17:47 Steaming into Charlbury twice on Street Fair Day will be GWR Castle Class steam engine No.5043 'Earl of Edgcumbe' hauling a Cathedrals Express trip on its way to and from Paddington. Approximate times are believed to be around 9:40am and 5:20pm - so if you are looking for something different to see on Street Fair Day why not take a walk down to the station!
