Drinking fountain, The Playing Close, Charlbury, Oxfordshire.
An octagonal drinking fountain in Jacobethan style, built in 1897 by John Kibble (who also designed it) paid for by Harvey du Cros of Cornbury Park to cumulatively commemorate the following:
The visit of Queen Victoria in 1886
The supply of piped water to the town in 1896
Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897
I was stunned to see a child allowed to climb on/around and through the Drinking Fountain this week while his mother looked on.A pity that people are not more respectful of the heritage they live amongst.

Pam, I believe Simon is correct with Imperatrix. Sorry Graham but we would not have a Roman numeral for the 'First', regardless of Imperatrix (Empress) or Regina (Queen). After all, have you ever seen a letter box from the time of Edward I or Elizabeth I with 'E 1 R'???

Probably Imperatrix - since she was Empress of India.
