Fri 21 Mar, 20:46 Steve I sprinkle cat food around the lawn or hedges at night for hedgehogs and I haven’t noticed my cats foraging on it. Agree if it’s in an easy bowl they will be straight into it. There are lots of ideas online about designing HH feeders that are supposed to keep cats out. In my experience they usually find a way in but mine are less keen on odd pieces on the lawn. |

Fri 21 Mar, 11:21 We have a large hedgehog living in our garden on Hixet Wood. We found him while clearing some overgrown brambles and moved him to a more secluded spot, left him some cat food and he has since been spotted ambling about of an evening. We usually have one or two every year. |

Fri 21 Mar, 08:16 Hedgehogs are starting to wake up after hibernation. Please put your sightings here or email charlburywildlifesociety@gmail.com. They can be very hungry and dehydrated after their long sleep, so if you see one please put out water and a bit of wet dog/cat food. |
