I can highly recommend Minster Mill in Old Minster Lovell. 

My son & his wife were married there February ' 24. 

It's a beautiful venue, a choice of reception rooms to suit the size of the wedding party. Lovely marriage room. The food was amazing, staff attentive, lovely atmosphere. Plenty of rooms for guests to stay over.

The very helpful events team will help you to achieve the wedding you'd like, to suit what you'd like to spend.

When we had our reception we used Eynsham Village Hall - it's not a beautiful venue, but was cheaper than most larger options, and we could accommodate lots of family and friends for a meal (provided by caterers) and a ceilidh, and there were good kitchen facilities. You can make places like that lovely with lots of decorations - the Memorial Hall could be a similar option. The downside was that we only had access to get set up the night before.

Charlbury Cricket Club have hosted a number of weddings , in a decent marquee, lots of parking , a nice setting and supporting a local community asset !

If you find a venue, I can recommend EP Caterers of Woodstock, she has a Facebook page so you can see photos of the sort of thing that she does.

So far as photographers are concerned I can also recommend Lara Jacques, she used to live in Shipton but I think she has now moved to Burford.

The Manor Hotel in Moreton in Marsh is lovely and has plenty of room for most people to stay as well.

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are recently engaged and starting to plan our wedding. We’d love to keep it local and are looking for venue options in or near Charlbury.

We’re hoping to find a place that can host up to 120 guests, ideally with the option of a winter wedding (though we’re open to all possibilities!). We’d love to hear any recommendations - particularly for venues beyond the beautiful local barns, as these are sadly outside our budget.

If you also have suggestions for local suppliers - caterers, florists, photographers, or anything else - we’d really appreciate any recommendations!
