Tue 25 Feb, 23:04 Sure enough the car park was full at 10.00, it seems that Christine's advise to go to Oxford Parkway makes sense. I imagine getting planning permission for more space near the station would now be easier now we have an anti NIMBY government. It should be financed by GWR who must be missing a lot of "bottom line", the train was not full. Meanwhile no doubt parking in the COOP will increase? |

Mon 24 Feb, 17:50 (last edited on Mon 24 Feb, 18:04) Last Thursday the P&R at Water Eaton was full in the middle of the day, no doubt because of half term. Don't forget if this happens, it's possible to use the Oxford Parkway Station Car Park (it's slightly cheaper at the moment), but one MUST use the Parking Machine by the Station -- the same applies in reverse if the Oxford Parkway Station Car Park is full. Otherwise one will receive a hefty fine ... Be careful if paying by phone and RINGGO as the 2 car parks have different codes. Also, one can't park for as long at OCC's Bus Car Park (max 72 hrs) as at the Train Station Car Park. |

Mon 24 Feb, 14:01 You might be OK on a Monday, but Tuesday-Thursday are the days the car park is most likely to be full. [The Oxfordshire-Worcestershire document making the case for investment in the Cotswold line had an interesting graph suggesting a significant post-pandemic decline in the number of passengers on Mondays and, surprisingly, Saturdays - balanced by rises elsewhere] |

Mon 24 Feb, 11:53 It seems people commute Mon-Thur nowadays - we arried for the 10.10 train on a Tuesday a few weeks ago and the station car park was full. We took the 08.26 train last Friday and there were plenty of spaces. |

Mon 24 Feb, 11:35 Anyone know what the chances are that spaces will be available tomorrow for the 10,10 train? We don't want to drive/park and find no spaces? |
