Bringing Drone Soccer to Charlbury Youth

I am happy to host a Drone Soccer showcase over the coming weeks for those who are interested in supporting but want to learn more. I have an inflatable arena, goal set, and one soccer drone to provide a taster session for those keen to get involved and help purchase the full set of equipment and training materials.

If I can get a mailing list going this week, I’ll put the taster event together, and we can fly some drones!

Think of it as Quidditch meets drone racing—teams pilot drones inside protective spheres, working together to score goals while defending their own. It’s fun, fast-paced, and teaches STEM skills in a fun and engaging way.

The aerospace industry is facing a critical skills gap, with high-paying careers in aviation, robotics, and drone technology needing fresh talent. Drone Soccer isn’t just a sport—it’s career training. By participating, young people gain engineering, programming, and piloting experience, setting them up for success in industries that desperately need skilled workers.

We’ve already raised £1,000 for equipment, but to launch our league and get flying, we need to raise:

💰 £6,300 (minimum) to get started

💰 £10,000 (ideal) to fully equip and sustain the program

🏆 International Competition!

This initiative isn’t just local—our teams will have the opportunity to compete in Germany and the Netherlands, taking their skills to an international level!
