Sun 26 Jan, 15:31 Salford Trout Lakes just outside of Chipping Norton is a small beautiful pair of trout lakes for fly fishing. Privately owned, but you can buy a day ticket, or for a fixed price sign up for the season which runs mid March to October. There’s also Farmoor Fly Fishing Club, which takes its name from when it had the fishing rights to the reservoir, but now owns its own very beautiful 25 acre lake the other side of Witney. A very friendly and extremely well run club. Also fly fishing only. Membership starts from February and fills up fast, so you would need to act soon. There was also Lechlade / Bushyleaze fly fishing trout lakes near Lechlade and regarded as one of the best in the country, but sadly just recently closed, and not sure if it will reopen, but worth looking out for if it does get going again. Sun 26 Jan, 14:38 Hi there, I've just joined this group as I am moving to Moreton in Marsh shortly and am interested in fishing of all types in the area. I am already in touch with Moreton Anglers who I hope to join but I have also read about Charlbury Angling Club on line and am particularly interested in the fly fishing and coarse fishing that this club can offer. Could someone please provide me with a link to the club secretary such that I can get some more information? Many thanks, Martyn |
