Thu 16 Jan, 18:40 (last edited on Thu 16 Jan, 18:42) Thank you Christine. That's really useful. I should perhaps have added that on Tuesday they diverted me and I passed a couple of places that should have been signed and weren't - Fishers Lane being one of them, I forget the other. And the gap they left at the bottom of Dancers Hill wasn't wide enough to allow an Ocado van through - I feared for my beloved Audi - but that might have been better today. I didn't see any signs blocking my sense of humour, though. |

Thu 16 Jan, 15:22 Given that the closure is signed to be in force until March 27th, this needs sorting out. You can see the diversion route on https://one.network/uk/oxfordshire You need to sign in. But it's not very clear where access to the closed section is. It's the Gas Board, and their help page for roadworks is here: https://www.sgn.co.uk/our-gas-works/roadworks-your-area The Gas works reference is XW013W119995144-00301-04 and the Project reference is SOE10436 There are some clickable links to report problems on the one.network map. There was another closure in place earlier today, from Thames Water. That is now completed, it says. |

Thu 16 Jan, 14:46 (last edited on Thu 16 Jan, 15:43) Maybe your marooned Ocado driver should contact their depot in Stalingrad for directions to OX7. Contractors have a serious job to carry out. Signage is reasonably obvious |

Thu 16 Jan, 13:08 I don't know how to get in touch with the contractors digging up Dancers Hill and Poole Lane, but on a crazy hope that someone responsible reads the Forum perhaps they could pay rather more attention to having a coherent set of Diversion signs covering all routes? My Ocado delivery driver has just telephoned and from his description it seems that he's marooned in Stalingrad. |
