Interesting to note this, as the flyer that came round said that trees would be collected on the revised scheduled day (for us that was yesterday), regardless of whether it was grey bins or green/recycle bins. Alas, it was not to be. We'll wait until next week and see what happens.

Nick: It depends where in the town you live. Those scheduled for a general rubbish day will need to wait until next week.

The WODC site says: Real Christmas trees will be collected from all households (including those without a garden waste licence) on their scheduled garden waste collection day between Tuesday 7 and Monday 20 January 2025. Please remove all decorations, tree lights and stands, and reduce larger trees down to 1 metre lengths to assist crews.

You can check your collection day here: https://www.westoxon.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/check-your-collection-day/

Thanks for this message. So do we just leave Christmas trees out tonight and the council collect them tomorrow morning?

Yes, that is correct, Richard, in your part of the town.

We don’t usually have a garden waste collection so we’re blissfully unaware of what day WODC are coming round to collect Christmas trees.

From punching random town centre addresses into the WODC website it looks like it will be Wednesday this week – is that right?
