Tue 7 Jan, 20:45 Glad you enjoyed Conclave Father. I am very much looking forward to seeing it it when when it comes to Chippy Theatre, on the 17th, 18th or 26th January. Please don't let the let the existence of the Living Room make one forget that the Theatre has films too, even if a little later. The Theatre needs all our support. It has provided excellent cutting edge drama, great comedy and one man shows by top comedians, lovely evenings of great music and a venue for local amateur productions. Apart from which generations of children from all around have enjoyed excellent drama and singing training. It also has done life changing work with local people in need. Not to mention, of course, the star in its crown, the Pantomime !! I remember taking my children to Grease, over forty years ago. The film started by being shown on the ceiling (quickly put right) and a lady in the audience had a cat on her lap ! Now it's slick and modern but it just shows how long it has been serving us. Let us repay it with our loyalty. |

Mon 6 Jan, 17:33 (last edited on Mon 6 Jan, 18:07) Just returned from first time in Living Room cinema in Chippy and watched “ Conclave”. If you love the Catholic Church or hate her…this is the film for you! Brilliant acting by Ranulph Fiennes and what a twist at the end! A cold wet Winters afternoon well-spent! Father Clive |
