Sun 12 Jan, 20:23 (last edited on Sun 12 Jan, 20:27) Another strike has begun - this time it's Train Managers! How long before they all follow like sheep? Poor babies! |

Mon 6 Jan, 20:27 It's a strange logic that describes wage settlements as 'over generous' because they remove the need for a person to work overtime. If indeed that's the case. I don't profess to understand the arcane workings of the industry but the failure surely is in making the weekend schedules dependent on overtime working. Anyway, sounds like a case for now of grab it while you can... |

Mon 6 Jan, 17:40 We bought five daytrips to London. Some tickets were £ 5, some £ 11. A lot cheaper than the standard fare. |

Mon 6 Jan, 16:23 Weekend travel with any rail operator just a complete lottery. Over generous wage settlements mean that overtime working (necessary to sustain the scheduled service) is no longer needed, not to mention the high tax that these rates would attract! |

Mon 6 Jan, 07:56 (last edited on Mon 6 Jan, 07:59) Pity they can't offer the train service to match. I had to resort to Uber taxi to get me back from Heathrow yesterday. Uber service excellent, door to door, and not much more expensive. PS now to see if I can get a rebate from GWR |
