Sat 4 Jan, 22:34 (last edited on Sat 4 Jan, 22:55) Can anyone offer advice please? I had to reload Amazon Prime on my TV (after loading a new credit card). And now my TV won't do a thing. I've tried getting to programmes through Freeview, and selecting channels on the remote, and swearing at it in a variety of modern languages, and switching it off at the wall and back again ... it's a Bush TV/DVD combo, about one year old; router is working OK, I can still get programmes on my laptop, and I could get Prime before I had to make the change ... Can anyone suggest anything that a Bear With A Very Small Brain might be able to manage? Many thanks as always. (Later): I swore at it in Latin and Greek; also switched it off at the wall, played with the cat, and switched it on again and it works. Anyone else remember the days when you could fix anything with a can of WD-40 or a tin of talcum powder? My grandmother's piano - much used for singsongs in WWII - used to get sticky keys, so from time to time they would empty a tin of Yardley's Lavender into the works. Sankey and Moody's best, to a cloud of sweet-smelling steam. |
