Wed 25 Dec 2024, 08:13 The station it doesn't stop at was described ten years ago thus: a place girded round by peat-black lochs and dismal bogs and overshadowed by dark, anonymous plantations of doomed conifers, where nothing of any note has happened these past 70 years save for intense despondent brooding. Apparently trains really aren't stopping there at present after a local landowner took to threatening railway staff .. and train drivers are now sounding their horns to annoy him when they pass his property, claiming it's for safety reasons because of a footpath crossing. |

Tue 24 Dec 2024, 19:51 And see if you can spot the one station where Santa doesn’t stop and the other where the train “stops to drop off coal”… |

Tue 24 Dec 2024, 19:46 Have a look at the link below - it will take you to Realtime Trains where someone clearly has a sense of humour and a love of Christmas. Scroll down and you will eventually come across Charlbury and it looks like every other station in the country too. Don't worry, it's not GWR https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:S73184/2024-12-24/detailed#allox_id=0 Happy Christmas |
