Tue 31 Dec 2024, 16:58 Thank you everyone for kind messages and suggestions. My neighbour had a lovely new cat arrive today - quite like Teddy, who is now in pusscat heaven. Many thanks to the lovely person who arranged it all. |

Mon 30 Dec 2024, 13:10 We got a kitten from the Blue Cross in September. They have lots to rehome and it was hassle free and very quick. |

Mon 30 Dec 2024, 11:53 Anna and I were so sad to hear of Teddy’s passing. We live nearby, outside Tanners Court and we loved watching Teddy wander about, saying hello to everyone who passed by. He was so friendly and affectionate. In 2012, we lost both of our cats in the same month. Shortly after, Teddy began visiting us. He’d jump up on our wall and we would go out and say hello. It took some time, but finally we felt able to bring cats back into the house. I’m not sure we would have got there without Teddy’s help and we’ll always love him for that. Alan |

Mon 23 Dec 2024, 20:05 We got a lovely little cat from BARKS in Banbury. They came out and did a home check 2 years ago, but a lot of rescues now do it via zoom, you carry the laptop round the house so the person you're talking to can see what it looks like. I'm not sure whether cat rescues are like dog ones though where they refuse you if you're "too old", because they see it as a life time commitment. Something to be aware of, and they might prefer her to adopt a senior cat vs a kitten if that's the case. |

Mon 23 Dec 2024, 14:01 Thank you very much, Anna. Unfortunately Deliveroo don't do pusscats, but my neighbour will have something to look forward to. Gosh it's difficult, even when you know it's got to happen. PS: thank you to the vet and to Emma, who were brilliant. |

Mon 23 Dec 2024, 13:24 We’ve just adopted two kittens from the local branch of the RSPCA and the process was really easy and much quicker than I expected: 48 hours from first contact to bringing our lovely kittens home. They have plenty more cats and kittens waiting for homes if your neighbour would like to look on their website. |

Mon 23 Dec 2024, 13:14 Does anyone have a cat or kitten needing a loving home? My neighbour has just had to send Teddy to heaven - expected, but nonetheless sudden. She's given a home to many pusscats in her time, and it's really hard for her to be without something to love. Many thanks. |
