Sun 8 Dec, 08:09 Also very happy with Octopus, even without a smart meter. Recommend you talk to them on the phone, rather than just online. They have a relatively local office in Leamington Spa, also in London. If you do go to Octopus, ask somebody who is already a customer for a recommendation link. Both you and the person recommending gets £50 off their bill. |

Sun 8 Dec, 07:13 I’m with Octopus on a tracker rate - it’s a very good deal if you can get it! |

Sat 7 Dec, 19:54 Have a look at Utility Warehouse; I have my electric, gas, home phone, broadband, mobile phone, and home insurance with them; I submit meter readings on the last day of the month then about 3 weeks later I pay only for what I have used the previous month. Yes, my bills are less in the summer and more in the winter but I budget over a year so the money builds up in MY account not theirs! |

Sat 7 Dec, 19:25 After three years of fighting E.ON Next - crazy bills, home invasions, unreachable management, semi-literate agents - they've given up on me: written off what they say I owe, even put me in credit by a few bob. Yippee. So I really, really want to change suppliers. But I can't make head or tail of the various bits of information knocking around their records - I seem to find contradictory accounts of just about everything. And at school I didn't pay attention during domestic electricity classes. Can anyone recommend an electrician who'll look at my set-up here, tell me if there's anything amiss, and set me up to deal honestly with a new supplier? Folding money offered in return for peace of mind. |
