Noted people ( residents ) in Bloxham and South Newington by the pub, trying to unblock the drains with garden hoes and spades. The leaves look to being a the major contributing factor.

Driving out of Charlbury on the Woodstock Road. Please take care as flooded across the road at the bottom of Stonesfield Lane. Some brave soul is trying to unblock the drain.

My recent drive to Banbury this afternoon, had large areas of flooding , especially in the low point of the roads. The exceptionally high levels and intensity of the rain ( anyone measured this locally ) and the leaves 🍁 and the lack of maintenance,  are blocking and restricting the flow of water.

Potentially dangerous as night falls, and the use of low ride height vehicles will need to extra cautious. Difficult to identify the areas in daylight. Essential travel only !

I walked quite easily from Tanners Court to the dip of The Slade at 4pm, but when I walked back just now the path is flooded above ankle-height near the weir.  The stream also looks like it may flood its banks if it carries on raining.

Where the path emerges at the dip in the Slade the road was flooded from the wall to the opposite pavement at 4, but that has now receded somewhat.  Still, quite deep, so be careful if you're driving down the Slade!
