Oh good! I expect they thought they had found a nice warm cave.

Thanks Claire, yes I've undone everything as if to change filters and then a bit more, and a PAIR of sparrows flew out  !  I might need some help putting it all back together again though if there is anyone around who is good with cooker hoods/filters etc. as it took some persuasion.

And the moral of the story is to check walls for holes more regularly, especially in the area of cooker hoods :-)

Remove the screen on the outside wall if there is one?  Or can you release it by opening at the bottom as you would to change the filters?

Can anyone help please, I think a sparrow has fallen into my cooker hood somehow through a hole in the outside wall...and I am just trying to work out how to liberate it. :-0
