It’s so frustrating, when one tries to be extremely careful around others’ vehicles.

You're catching up with me Rosemary.  Mine is over £1000 (wing mirrors and number plates and scratches to bodywork).

I can understand (but don't condone) the theft of 4 number plates, but wing mirrors and scratches?

It's one of the reasons I don't own a car anymore.  In Charlbury (if you have to park on the road) it's literally not worth it.

This is going to cost £396 plus labour. Several weeks ago, someone smashed into our parked car on Pooles Lane, and cracked the bumper from left to right. 

 No note on the windscreen, of course.
