Tue 29 Oct, 22:56 Anyone who wishes to take advantage of the coach from Chippy (for a bargain £10 return!) I can offer a lift to three others leaving from o/s the Charlbury Co-op at 7.25am (is there such a time on Sunday?!), and the plan is for the return coach to leave London at approx. 4pm, so hopefully back here early evening! Let me know via this website if you want a lift, and notify Sam via sfrith@earthwatch.org.uk if you want to join the coach. |

Mon 28 Oct, 18:10 The postponed March for Clean Water is now due to take place next Sunday - see here https://marchforcleanwater.org. Earthwatch are organising a coach from Moreton in Marsh, picking up in Chippy at about 08.00. I have asked if they will add Charlbury but unlikely as it would mean adding another half hour or so to the journey. There are no early trains - the first one listed is the 9.14 getting into Paddington at 11.29 - the march starts at around then from Albert Embankment going on to Parliament Square. Later trains are shown as including bus replacements so I would not put any faith at all in this timetable! So if you want to get the coach, email here sfrith@earthwatch.org.uk to let them know and add your request for a pick up here to mine - they can only say no. And assuming they do, I can probably offer a lift from Charlbury to Chippy - but it'll have to be a 7.30 start unfortunately. This is an opportunity to let the government know the depth of concern that exists about the state of our waterways. Any takers?? |
