I would have appreciated a news update on both of these chimney fires on charlbury.info whilst they were happening.

Fortunately I was late leaving home yesterday, and decided to drive to Woodstock to pick up the S3/no 7 buses into Oxford there. Otherwise I would have missed the S3 bus whilst waiting at the Enstone Rd bus stop. The "improved" Stagecoach app is very poor. It includes numerous warnings about changes to routes that it says will affect my journey, but have nothing at all to do with the actual route of the S3. It never seems to warn about new and actual ongoing diversions. The Oxford Bus app also seems to be worse than before.

I had wondered why there was a fire engine with its blue lights flashing, racing towards me as I exited Charlbury on the Woodstock Rd.

Wow, a whole live blog dedicated to the Charlbury fire. Not quite Andrew Sparrow but impressive nonetheless. Good to see Richard's tweet included which mentions the Bull chimney fire the other day as well as the one today at the Bell. Which pub will be next?

Well the Forum failed but the Occy Mail was reliable:

Does anyone know why several fire engines went whizzing past Wellington Cottages this morning?  Must have been a serious fire.  I hope that no-one was injured, or worse.
