Kim - Nicola said it was 16 October.

Lawless Charlbury again. :-(

As a callow youth, in antediluvian times, I used to cycle around central London and Kensington.  Never locked my bike, and it was never stolen.

However, as Kim has pointed out, the modern bikes are worth a few bob.

Insured?

Let’s hope people are able to check their dash cams or someone comes forward as someone must have seen whoever it was.
please remind us of the date the bike was stolen.

The bike had a couple of locks, a titanium D lock and the bike had an integral lock around the back wheel. also she had removed the control panel and taken it with her, so the bike could NOT be ridden away. Someone brought tools and a van, there really should be adequate CCTV or maybe even someone's dash cam.

It’s a worry isn’t it. These bikes are expensive this very sought after. What sort of lock did you use?

Hey Kim, well... ultimately Ive had little help. I've spoken to 4 people at the station (the current manager wasn't working last week), there's no definite cctv footage. BTP decided not to investigate the theft - based on the fact that the bike was left for over 2 hours, but it's hard to credit that as adequate reasoning given that its a train station & 2 hours isn't very long. (the bike was left from 8am to 1pm). I have been back to the station to discuss bike safety as my daughter still needs to use a bike & I'm very concerned about leaving another bike there.

Is anyone helping you with this? So many people use the station and traffic is constantly coming and going. Someone must have seen something or have evidence on their dash cam. Are the station workers helping at all?

My daughter's bike was stolen from charlbury station this morning. She locked it at 8am and it was missing by 1pm. I will contact the station manager when he comes to the office on Thursday am. but in the meantime, did anyone witness anything? it was a good quality titanium lock which will have needed cutting through. It was right outside the office locked to the solid bike frames there. pistachio coloured electric bike.
