Fri 13 Sep, 22:10 (last edited on Fri 13 Sep, 22:17) The stretch between North Lodge and Shilson's Lane was not originally scheduled to be done at all, but I asked for the worst bits to be patched at the same time as the resurfacing at the Fiveways end, and I am very pleased that it has been included. There are some patches that haven't been done because they are not quite as bad as the rest. I know it seems ridiculous that we haven't done the whole stretch, but unfortunately with the current maintenance contract and limited budget we can't do everything we would like to. We are in the process of agreeing a new highways maintenance contract so hopefully that may change in the future |

Fri 13 Sep, 20:33 Just wanted to say how grateful we are to have the local roads resurfaced and to have the potholes removed. In the context of local government budget cuts, and the massive pressures that they are under to keep everyone happy to receive what they need and want, which is impossible to achieve. So – massive thanks to those who have worked long and hard to make this happen in Charlbury. |

Fri 13 Sep, 19:52 Great to see and very overdue, undertaken very quickly ( at what financial cost £ ) and such a shame the continuation to the remaining stretch into the town centre was not undertaken! |

Fri 13 Sep, 18:26 Credit where credit's due, the stretch between Five Ways and Cornbury has been resurfaced perfectly, but the section from Cornbury to Shilson Lane/Clarendon Court is quite frankly a joke - small bits of patching here and there, loads of potholes remaining and to rub salt into the wound, some of the potholes have had new white lines painted right through the middle of them! |

Thu 12 Sep, 19:53 Some cars are still parked on Park St and Grammar School Hill. OCC has said there should be no parking or this could impede plant movements and delay the works. If anyone reading this thinks they should move their car, please do! |
