Rosemary, I doubt you'd have called it 'chic' if I'd said 'beach bowls'!  And every town & village in France has at least one.  Oh sorry, we don't do European anymore...

It was a new one to me too. Appears to be an American import in which teams throw beanbags (assume these would have been corn) towards a target of a sloping board with a hole in it. That’s the sum of my knowledge!

What a great idea. I think it was something vaguely similar but chucking bean bags around. Nothing as chic as petanque! Claire, we just posted simultaneously…. 🤭
