Tue 6 Aug, 11:22 MAMA was sold back in 2015. Wikipedia gives a good summary of the very complicated history. Live Nation is a multinational brand that owns most of the festivals and live music venues, also Ticket Master. You will also find a Wilderness page on the Festivals Republic website. |

Tue 6 Aug, 10:27 It's not Mama any more, Rachel, but Live Nation UK, and more specifically their sub-brand Festivals Republic. Their page about charities etc can be found here: https://festivalrepublic.com/ Wilderness used to offer a local bursary, as a reward for the disruption. The last post about it that I could easily find is from November 2023. See: https://www.charlbury.info/forum/11037#57862 |

Mon 5 Aug, 20:16 Very good question Rachel. You mean like a legal agreement similar to an S106 that property developers have to do. Where they pay for things that could benefit the community such as improvements to a village hall or many other things. I don't know if they do but I think they should. The argument against would probably be that there is a lot of local businesses that benefit from Wilderness. But do they? |
