Canon IXUS charger to borrow?

Is it the square type? I've got two different ones for Ixus cameras which you're welcome to try, but have found that they slightly differ from each other so perhaps they won't do your 55.

Thanks for the input. I will try discharging fully, although is this likely to be the problem if both batteries are doing the same thing? They are Lithium Ion.

If they are nickel cadmium (which I would doubt nowadays) I have a battery discharger specifically designed for such purposes that has pin outs for a wide range of battery pinouts. Are your batteries Lithium Ion (LiON) or Nickel metalhydride (NiMH)?

It may be worth completely discharging them as they may have some sort of memory, (connect two wires to the terminals with a lED bulb) once LED stops try recharging - Hope this'll work.
