Register to vote deadline 18th June

Today is also the last possible day for changing the address at which one intends to vote.

This is particularly relevant for students, including those who have registered to vote at their term-time address, and also those who are registered at both their home and also their term-time addresses. Being registered to vote at 2 different addresses doesn't mean that a person can vote more than once in a General Election. The person concerned will need to choose one address, but has the chance to change the preferred address by 23.59 today.

The deadline to register to vote is 23:59 today! There is a good summary of how to plus other useful information on the BBC News website here:

You now have just 3 days till the deadline. Don't know who to vote for?  Come to the Charlbury hustings, watch the election debates, read the party manifestos online - there's time for all of that between now and 4 July - just don't lose your right to vote! Put registering at the top of your to-do list and remind everyone you know.

If you have not registered to vote then the deadline is now less than one week away (it takes 5 minutes online):

Charlbury is now in the relatively marginal constituency of Banbury so your vote might actually count for something. Don't leave it to the last minute as the government website has been known to crash on the last day!

Students can register in Charlbury and their place of study (but only vote in one place obviously). Options to vote by post or by proxy are also available (deadlines also looming).

You must log in before you can post a reply.
