...and this Oxford Mail story provides a bit more background to both the new Great Tew Festival and the move from Cornbury.

The Witney Gazette reports, under the memorable headline "Poshstock finds a picturesque new home", that Hugh Phillimore's festival will next year be staged on the Great Tew Estate.

I don't think it has been reported that Cornbury is being extended to three days next year - July 1-3

There's a great deal more information here. Looks like we're in for several festivals a year at Cornbury...

Thanks for spotting that - it's online on the Witney Gazette website too. Meanwhile Music Week is reporting that Hugh Phillimore's Cornbury (the one which is moving location) has been sold to a company called 3a Entertainment. The plot thickens...!

Has anyone read the Witney Gazette yet? It looks like there will now be 2 Festivals to look forward to next year in July, one by 'Cornbury Festival' on 1-3 July the normal one but still not saying where the new venue is, then another 1 during the first 2 weeks of July set up by the owners of Cornbury. Please read the paper to get full story if it interests you.
