Palm Sunday Walk

We have just done the walk but it was sad to see you can't get to the wishing well, this was the reason for the locals to go on Palm Sunday.

Dear All,

As per Stephen’s message we can confirm The Estate team have been clearing the route round the forest over the past 2 weeks, and had a final check this afternoon for the Palm Sunday walk tomorrow.

We are therefore delighted to be able to provide the same circular walk, taking in Wort’s Well.

Please stay on this route (which will be clearly signposted from Five Ash Bottom, just down from Leafield on Hatchings Lane) and be aware that some areas are very slippery.

We hope those that do go have an enjoyable walk.

Just realised that it is Palm Sunday tomorrow, 24th March. This is when there is an annual (signposted, but unguided) circular walk through part of Cornbury Estate to Wort's Well. It starts from Five Ash Bottom (just down from Leafield on Hatchings Lane).
